Natural Girls Kill Cancer

The word "Natural" means to  present in or produced by nature; characterized by spontaneity and freedom from artificiality, affectation, or inhibitions; not altered, treated, or disguised; faithfully representing nature or life. Going "Natural" is more than just a hair style, its a lifestyle. This "Natural Lifestyle" should be able to produce and reproduce a long, healthy, disease free body the way God intended to us to live.

For me, going natural was always more than just a hair style. The moment I decided I was going to go through with my natural hair, I knew I was entering into a new world of greatness. Changing my hair has inspired me to change my lifestyle and birth this non-profit, Nattalicious. Nattalicious operates as a non-profit organization that donates new and gently used natural hair products to deserving women.

How Natural Girls Kill Cancer

Recently I attended a health fair that spoke on the importance of PH Balance. PH Balance stands for the power of hydrogen. This Power of Hydrogen is the measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. A healthy body should have a neutral PH balance measurement of 7.0. Guess which Natural Girl checked in with a ph balance of 6.5? (Insert personal proud moment, lol). Studies have shown that any disease ranging form the common cold, flu, cancers, hiv/aids, can not survive in a body that has a high PH Balance. The PH scale ranges from 1 to 14 with 7 being neutral. Cancer and other autoimmune disease can not live in a body with high PH levels. After attending this health fair, a campaign was born.

"Natural Girls Kill Cancer" was a slogan that kept speaking to me, but I did not know what to do with it. So I buried it in my creative file until  a few weeks ago, when a breast cancer survivor, who received past support from Nattalicious submitted her photo.

Team Candy is  a breast cancer awareness organization with a mission to education, inspire, and support her community. Its founder, Candace, shares her personal journey of surviving breast cancer through motivational speaking, fundraising events, and community support. After defeating breast cancer, she chose to regrow her natural hair. With the help of Nattalicious, she received natural hair products (at no cost) that help her transitioned comfortably into her natural hair. I had the pleasure of working with her in previous engagements to help support her vision on educating  the community and raising funds for her awareness organization; 

Natural girls and their stylist utilized creative ways to display the pink ribbon in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
